Fast and easy snack that’s raw and delicious. Figs are great dry or fresh. You can eat them on their own, chop them up and put in a salad, take them with you while you’re out on a hike or walking the dog…or make fig-squares with them! I keep dried figs in my fridge in case I ever want to add a bit of sweetness into a salad.

Ingredients
- 1 Apple, sliced
- 3 dried figs (I used Calimyrna figs)
- 3 tbs raw almonds
- optional: pure maple syrup or raw nut butter to drizzle / spread onto the apple.

Slice the apple and pulse the figs and raw almonds until it becomes a “crumble” consistency. Add crumble on top of apple slices. This simple crumble would be good on top of oatmeal or a chia pudding! So easy.

What a great idea! Simple, delicious and healthy.
We just went apple picking and have a TON of apples!
So I’ll be eating apples every day for breakfast for the next few weeks :p
I’ll have to pick up figs from the health food store next time we go and try this!
Sweet! I tried eating apples available here all summer but they just didn’t taste good. Now they are in season and they are delicious! Happy Apple-eating!
