Still goin’ with my breakfast smoothies! I reallllly like this one. I recently bought Nutiva’s chocolate Hemp Protein Powder to try out. I had previously been using Amazing Grasses’ Superfood Choc. Drink Powder, which I really do like… but I think I may like this even more! It seems a lot smoother, less grainier, and had a very chocolately taste. I’ve had it twice in a row.
You can use whatever chocolate protein powder you prefer, but for a semi-low price, I would give Nutiva’s choc. Protein a try. I’m eventually going to purchase some Sun Warrior Protein, but it’s definitely more expensive than Nutiva or Amazing Grass.
- 3 tbs Chocolate Hemp Protein Powder (I use Nutiva’s Hemp Protein – it’s very smooth and has a great chocolate flavour)
- 1 1/3 cup Almond Milk
- 1 tbs Shelled Hemp Seeds
- 1 frozen banana
- optional (not raw): 1 tbs chocolate PB2
Blend Blend Blend! Sprinkle some hemp seeds on top if you wish and enjoy this filling and energizing chocolate smoothie.
