Baked or Raw Chocolate Fig Swirls

Baked or Raw Chocolate Fig Swirls
Makes 14-15 small Chocolate Fig Swirls.
Serves: 15
  • Filling:
  • 6 dried figs
  • 1 tbs raw cacao powder
  • 1 tbs water
  • pinch of sea salt
  • Crust / Dough:
  • ¼ cup oat flour
  • 2 tbs buckwheat flour
  • 2 tbs sunflower seeds
  • pinch of sea salt
  • pinch of cinnamon
  • 3 tbs raisins
  • 1 tbs ground flax with 1 tbs warm water
  • 1 tbs agave nectar
  1. To make the crust, mix all ingredients together well in a bowl. In a separate bowl, add in the blended figs, cacao, water and sea salt and mix well.
  2. Form a ball with the crust and roll out flat using a rolling pin. Cut off the uneven edges and then spread the chocolate fig filling evenly on top.
  3. Carefully roll the crust inwards to form a tight roll. Use a sharp knife to carefully slice the roll into pieces, depending on how thick you'd like them to be. Eat right away or place in the fridge for about an hour to firm it up. Enjoy! 🙂
  4. If baking, preheat oven to 350F and bake for 8-10 minutes.
